Job Summary: The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for performing a variety of plumbing tasks by communicating with homeowners and other members of the team. A key aspect of this role involves embracing and learning the company’s protocols, while also actively contributing expertise to enhance team knowledge. Given the significance of being the primary contact for clients, strong communication skills are imperative, aligning with the company’s top priority. This position reports to the MEP Manager.

Primary Duties:

Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at scheduled sites.

Potential performing installation of plumbing systems at new properties.

Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at scheduled sites.

Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems.

Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintains.

Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.

Provide information regarding plumbing system upkeep to clients.

Manage work order and purchase order processes as outlined by Relax & Company protocols.

Skills:

Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Ability to use proper hand tools and power tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage effectively.

Must be able to uphold the highest level of confidentiality with client relationships.

Knowledge of or willingness to learn company software including Slack and Google Calendars/Docs/Sheets.

Works well under stressful situations.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Completion of a formal apprenticeship with licensing.

Licenses:

Valid driver’s license.

Valid NH Journeyman Plumbing License.

Physical Requirements:

Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.

Physical strength when performing heavy labor is required. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time.
